Emotional eating and how to overcome it

30 Australian dollars
Location 1

Service Description

What do you reach for when you’re craving comfort, feeling low, stressed or anxious? Perhaps it’s a chocolate bar or piece of gooey fudgy chocolate cake? Maybe it’s a bowl of hot chips or a juicy burger? Or it could be a cigarette washed down with a glass of wine or beer. Take a moment and think what your ‘comfort food’ is? Unless you’re reaching for a crunchy raw salad or veggie sticks and hummus when you’re down (go you!), it’s common to get caught up in the vicious cycle of overeating or binge eating, guilt, shame, punishing yourself and restricting calories. While emotional eating is a common self-soothing tool that most of us have tried, it is possible to gain control (minus the deprivation) and adopt a healthier mindset when it comes to food. Come along to this workshop to learn: - how to heal and break your emotional eating cycle - the messages behind emotional eating - why sugary ‘treats’ are wreaking havoc on your body and your mind – and some healthy swaps - why emotional eating isn’t the root problem but rather a symptom - nourishing ways to ‘self-soothe’ (without needing that choc mud cake!) Join us for an interesting evening jam-packed with practical tools, tips and insights you can start to implement into your life to create a healthier relationship with food. Book now, limited places.
